COVID-19 – Rides Suspended

March 26, 2020

Due to the ongoing Corona (COVID19) Virus issues including recommendations for social distancing and closures of facilities, the following LiveBUG rides will be cancelled:

Sunday 29^th March: Artexpress ride
Sunday 5^th April: Fig Farm Forage ride
Sunday 26^th April: Cecil Hills Loop ride

We are hoping to re-commence our rides program in June (pending any further recommendations).

Bicycle NSW has a recently added a COVID-19 resources section to their website with ways on how you can still continue to ride your bicycle through these challenging times.

Sunday Oct 25. Rail Trail And T/Way Loop
Grade: Easy
Start: 9:00am Liverpool Railway Station. 35km Unlimited car parking in Railway street on Sundays. Uses low traffic roads, cycle paths and Rail Trail through Cabramatta, Fairfield, Wetherill Park, Refreshment stop at Stocklands Food Court, Prairiewood and following the T-Way path back to Liverpool.

To ensure that we comply with COVID-19 restrictions, we will be following the guidelines below as at 1st September 2020
 Ride numbers will be limited to 20. You MUST let us know if you are attending, please leave your
mobile number.
 We will take a roll-call of riders attending from the ride log– we will not be signing the log sheets.
 Please do not attend if you are sick, have cold or flu symptoms etc and let us know if you are not
attending if you have previously registered for the ride.
 Riders are strongly encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.
 Social distancing during any stops including meeting point, catch-ups, even stationary at lights must
be maintained.
 No slipstream / close following riding.
 No clearing of nasal/ respiratory secretions while riding & bring your own tissues.
 Ride Leaders and Riders are strongly encouraged to have download the COVID app on mobiles they
have on the ride.
 Riders need to be aware that by participating on a ride this includes verbal consent for contact details from ride log to be provided to NSW public health officers undertaking contract tracing if a
person on the ride tests later tests positive.
 Please bring your own refreshments. We will generally be stopping for a takeaway coffee if available. Please note that some cafes may not accept cash payments—they may be card only.

Sunday Oct 11 Liverpool-Lake Moore-Brickmakers Dr-Wattle Grove Loop
Grade: Easy
Start: 9:00am from Liverpool Station. Unlimited car parking in Railway street on Sundays. An easy approx 30 km ride from Liverpool Station following bike paths around Lake Moore, Brickmakers Dr, Nuwarra Rd to Heathcote Rd, turning off at Harris Creek and on-road to Wattle Grove shops for a coffee stop.
Then backtracking back to the Harris Creek path to make our way across to the Wattle Grove SUP and following to Wattle Grove Lake. After a brief stop we will continue on the SUP back to Nuwarra Rd, Renton Dr, returning via Ernie Smith Reserve and back around Lake Moore to return to Liverpool Station.
